This principle allows farmers and agricultural workers to come up with methods that will serve the environment well, and provide the public with the best produce and dairy products. Here is some additional information about the process.

There are three main goals for sustainable farming; environmental stewardship, farm profitability, and thriving farming communities.

Environmental stewardship involves making sure that the natural resources of the earth are not damaged or compromised while crops are being grown in any specific area. This means that harsh pesticides should not be used, since they damage the soil and can cause health problems in humans.

What’s LoveFoodHateWaste.com?

An important new eco-friendly power plant planned for Selby, North Yorkshire, UK has received extra funding from the Uk Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP)’s Organic Capital Grant Fund.

The plant, costing £20 million in total, will use anaerobic digestion to produce eight megawatts of electricity from 165, 000 tonnes of food waste that would have otherwise ended up in landfill.

It’s estimated that 20,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions will be saved annually.

However, should we really be producing the food waste to power this plant?
