Time Lapse of construction of P&H Tensionless Foundation for Vestas V90 – 3 MW wind turbine. Wind Turbine Construction. Roman Dackiw.
Here is my analysis of 3 and 4 bladed turbines. I sometimes heard of the question of 3 vs 4 blades on traditional windgenerators (HAWT) and even helicopters and airplane propellers …so the question is now what can be the difference of using 3 or 4 blades on a VAWT. This video is about what I currently thought up. With the 3 bladed turbine, the blades receive more uninterupted wind force as it rotates. At a certain angle the wind force will begin to get interrupted by another blade, and at another certain angle, the wind force is completely interrupted by that blade. The most basic fact is obvious, that the angular sepeartion of the 3 bladed system is 120 degrees and the angular sepeartion of the 4 bladed system is 90 degrees. When the blade is 90 degrees perpendicular (a right angle) to the wind max. wind force is upon the blade due to the large surface area. From this point, with the 3 bladed system the blade can rotate 60 degrees before being completely “blocked” by another blade. With the 4 bladed system, the angle is only 45 degrees. The only advantage of the 4 blade system that I can think of right now is that the blade perpendicular to the wind happens slightly more often per revolution with that system; providing another quick “pulse” of force and the corresponding pulse in rotational speed and torque of the turbine at this point. You might ask… What about a 2 bladed turbine system with the blades seperated by 180 degrees? Each blade will receive “more time in …

How good an investment is a wind turbine? Does it provide a good rate of return? Ben Boothe, Chairman of Wind Inc., provides all of the information, as an experienced expert in the wind field. This video is good viewing for someone interested in Wind Power and renewable energy.
In England, wind Turbines are being built withinh 1 kilometer of family home, causing misery. Hear first hand accounts.
“www.WindEnergyGuide.net – Agrowing trend among homeowners that is growing fast is moving towards renewable wind energy. Learning how to build wind turbines is a growing trend that does seem to be going away anytime soon. The wind that blows by our home every day and night could be the very thing that drastically lowers our monthly energy bills. Homeowners are learning the simplicity of building a wind turbine that is both affordable and something they can build themselves. As many continue to see monthly bills going up several homeowners are taking energy matters into their own hands. How To Build a Wind Turbine #1 – The Parts There are four basic parts that go into the design of a self made wind turbine. The four basic parts involved are the turbines, the batteries, the towers, an the tail also called the propeller. These four simple parts are all put together with simple tools. To put your wind turbine together you will simply need three parts a wrench, a drill, and a saw. Those are all the tools needed to assemble the turbine together. How To Build a Wind Turbine #2 – The Motor The only part that requires some looking into is the best motor that you want for your wind turbine. Most do not recommend building your own motor but just ordering one from your local hardware store. Just like any other motor the motors on wind turbines will require regular maintenance and repair at times. But a small price to pay when it comes to generating your own electricity. While you are …
